Rotary Motto ~Service above self

To serve the people of Swansea

Bishop Gore Christmas Cards

Assist with the finance for and the sales of Christmas cards produced by the school

Bishop Gore Mentoring

Giving that little extra help and encouragement to some students who are not fulfilling their full potential

Clyne Farm Visit

Provide a visit to the Clyne Farm in Swansea for children who would not otherwise be able to go.

Francis Willinger Scholarship

A music scholarship to assist gifted musicians from the local area

Kids Day Out

Provide a day out for disadvantaged children. In recent years, this has involved a day at Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire. Admission tickets, transport and lunch are provided for the children and their teachers/carers.

Mary Cave

Support for the Mary Cave Centre by among other things providing a night of entertainment.

Pantomime Visit

Provide a visit to the pantomime at the Grand in Swansea for children who would not otherwise be able to go. In addition to providing tickets and transport interval refreshments are provided.

RYLA

Providing and paying for places at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Seniors Day Out

Provide a day out for seniors. For the last couple of years this has taken the form of a visit to the Village of Reynoldston including a visit to the village pantomime put on by Gower Players

Swansea Ethnic Communities

Seeking projects within ethnic communities now settled in Swansea to provide support and assistance

Young Musician

Arranging the local heat of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year Competition to encourage musical skills of the next generation

Youth Exchange

Organising for local youngsters to take part in the Rotary Youth Exchange Programme

Youth Speaks

Arranging the local heat of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition to encourage debating skills of the next generation
