1982 Lord Mayor Paul Valerio

Paul holds a unique record in the civic history of Swansea in being both "Mayor" and "Lord Mayor" in the same mayoral year. In May 1981 Paul was installed as Mayor of the City of Swansea, later that mayoral year on the 25 March 1982, Paul was installed as the first Lord Mayor of The City of Swansea.

1984 Lord Mayor Michael Murphy

Michael was the Lord Mayor of Swansea 1984‑1985. When installed as Lord Mayor in May 1984, Michael aged 39 was the youngest person to hold such an office in the United Kingdom.

1990 Rotary Quiz

Some of our newer members may not be aware that the Club had a very successful Quiz team in the 1990's. We were the first winners of the newly introduced Area Cup and this was won on four occasions

1992 Garden Festival of Wales

The Welsh version of the Garden Festivals that were held in various parts of the UK took place at Ebbw Vale in 1992. Amongst the exhibitions and stands was a Rotary Pavilion. On this day that year's President Tal Evans, Rotarians Harry Wilson Thomas and Eric Barnes and their wives represented our Club.

2005 Presentation by Ryan Griffiths

The collection for Cancer Research UK Cymru at the combined clubs’ Centennial Dinner on Wednesday 23 February raised £425. Ryan is presenting to two of Ward 8's abseiling team in Singleton Hospital on 24 February 2005. Ryan said how “elated” he was by the generosity of the clubs and asked that his gratitude should be communicated to everyone
